Story of the Foundation

A journey born from a single moment of truth

Read the Story

I am Shalinie Seengh Khare, passionately dedicated to education since 1998. Today, I want to share the story of how Shree PK Khare Foundation was established with the mission of providing quality academic education.

The Eye-Opener

A Maid's Children Changed Everything

When my daughter was born, I had to stay home for some time. During this period, a maid used to come to my house, sometimes bringing her three children along. She often mentioned that her children were well-educated. One day, out of curiosity, I decided to test their knowledge. She proudly told me that her kids, studying in 4th and 6th grade, spoke excellent English.

However, when I asked them to say something in English, all they could manage was, “My name is…” and “My father’s and mother’s name is…”. In math, they could only do basic two- or three-digit addition and subtraction. Their general knowledge was extremely limited. This shocked me.

The next day, I asked them to bring their books, and to my surprise, they brought an 8th-grade NCERT Social Studies book—donated by someone at their school. That moment was an eye-opener. While I had been sincerely teaching students at my institute, I realized that many children like them had no proper access to education. This realization moved me deeply and led me to take action—this is how PK Khare Foundation was born, to provide real education to those who truly need it.

At that moment, I decided to teach such children, either for free or at a very minimal fee, because they are the future of our country. If the foundation of their education is weak, how can our nation progress? The teachings of Gandhiji and Tagore have always emphasized the importance of quality education, and even the NEP 1996 spoke about national integration through education. Yet, these underprivileged children were being misled under the guise of 'free education'. I knew I couldn’t stand by and watch—I had to take action.

In 2015, I started teaching from home, and by 2018, I officially registered the foundation in my father-in-law’s name. To provide structured and systematic education, I also established an educational institute, Shreeram Montessori. This step ensured that every child receives the quality and compulsory education they deserve, shaping a brighter future for them and for our nation.

The person behind the mission

Shalinie Seengh Khare

Founder, Shree P.K. Khare Foundation

I am Shalinie Seengh Khare, dedicated to the field of education since 1998. My journey began with tutoring, and since then, I have been actively working in the teaching sector. I hold an A-Level qualification from DOEACC, along with graduate, postgraduate, and B.Ed. degrees, making me highly skilled in both computer science and teaching.

Over the years, I have taught numerous students, from Class 10th, 11th, and 12th to B.Tech, M.Tech, and Computer Science students—most of whom are now successfully established in their careers. Additionally, since 2003, I have trained thousands of women in the Teacher’s Training Course. Today, many of my students, not just from Delhi and NCR but also from abroad, have built successful careers in the teaching profession.

I am passionate about cooking and love experimenting with different styles to prepare a single vegetable in multiple ways. Watching thrillers, comedies, and inspiring movies or web series on Netflix with my family is my favorite way to relax and spend quality time.

My philosophy is that learning and listening are great practices for making life better and more beautiful. Sometimes, I may not be completely regular, but I am devoted and dedicated. I was born on October 4th—oops, I’ll tell you my birth year later! LOL As numerologists say, people born on the 4th tend to do things differently. That’s exactly me—I always do everything in a unique and beautiful way!

"Learning and listening are great practices for making life better and more beautiful."
